In order to reach out to students, faculty, and staff, the Counseling Center has designed workshops on mental health and academic topics of interest to the campus community.
Some of those workshops take place at the center and can be found on the “Drop-In Groups” page.
QPR- Suicide Prevention Training
We also have frequently scheduled QPR Training throughout the term. Please register online for these workshops. If you have any difficulties or questions, call the Counseling Center at 919-515-2423. Please register for workshops by noon on the day of the workshop and check-in a few minutes early in Student Health Center Room 2301.
The Counseling Center also develops customized workshops for residence halls, academic classes, campus or student organizations. Please contact Angel Bowers, Coordinator of Outreach Service at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a workshop. We require at least 10 participants and 2 weeks advanced notice for programming not during regular business hours.
Our staff has developed workshops on a wide range of topics and issues, some of which are listed below. We can tailor these and other topics to intended audiences’ needs. Please keep in mind, however, that we may need additional time to develop customized workshops for you. Counseling Center staff members present workshops in university residence halls, classes, and for other campus or student organizations.
